N.B. 1. After ploughing, the old permanent pasture had been
sown with a mixture
of rye-grass, meadow fescue and white clover and limed at the same
time.
2. The K : Ca ratio averaged 3-00 on the reseeded pasture
against 2-20 on the old pasture in the month of May.
3. The potassium content in the month of May was 4-2% in the
reseeded pasture against 2-7% in the old pasture (an increase of
55%).
4. The pasture was situated at Berlaer.
