N.B. 1. The calcined magnesite and magnesian limestone were applied once in 1955.
        2. The two types of magnesium fertilizer supplied the same amount of total magnesium.
        3. Sulphate of ammonia was applied annually on paddocks 2, 3, and 4.
        4. The four paddocks received 3 cwt./acre [380 kg./ha.] triple superphosphate each year.
        5. This was a temporary sward of cocksfoot and rye-grass.
